We strive to ensure all materials are protected and received as part of your decks shipping. Since shipping can be a confusing subject we have decided to explain how the shipping process works in more detail when you buy aluminum decking products from Wahoo Decks!
LTL COMMON CARRIERS
Wahoo Decks uses less than truckload (LTL) common carriers for our decks shipping – to deliver our joists, decking and railing materials. The main advantage to using an LTL carrier is that a shipment may be transported for a fraction of the cost of hiring an entire truck and trailer for an exclusive shipment. Also accessory services are available from LTL carries like residential deliveries and 24 hour notification prior to delivery. United Parcel Service (UPS) is sometimes used on small items when the length is 9 feet or less and 150 pounds or less. LTL carriers collect freight from various shippers and consolidate that freight onto enclosed trailers typically between 26 and 53 feet long. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the shipping address can accommodate the longest length of these trailers.
DELIVERY OF YOUR ORDER
Wahoo Decks takes pride in assembling your order from the precision cuts to the custom pallet to the shrink wrap. However, we understand that everyone makes mistakes sometimes so please inspect all materials for damage or shortage before the LTL carrier driver leaves. In the unfortunate event that you find damaged/missing material please note it on the Bill of Laden (BOL) with your signature and the driver’s signature, take pictures of the damage material, ACCEPT the damage material and contact us immediately. This is important to document correctly so we can ensure the damage material will be covered by insurance.
DAMAGE CLAIM
Wahoo Decks products are fully insured and if you have a claim we will handle it promptly. Typically, while the LTL carrier is working on the claim we do not wait for the claim to be handled before sending out replacement material. We know our customer’s needs and will not make you wait for replacement parts. All replacement parts are quickly sent out to you, free of charge, giving you peace of mind.
